About the Event
Exhibition features art by graduating MFA students from both 2021 and 2020.
Emerson Contemporary presents Threads Undone, a thesis exhibition that explores relationships, identity, sight, and visuality through compelling, intriguing photography and video installations by accomplished emerging artists Philip Alvy ‘20, Adam Cordelle ‘21, Xiaoya Liang ‘21, Rochelle Pascale ‘21, Jenn Pipp ‘20, and Brittany Severance ‘20. Threads Undone serves as a testament to the lived experiences and reflections of these six artists. Alvy, Liang, and Rochelle explore aspects of family relationships, Cordelle examines southern identity within the Northeast, and Pipp and Severance present varied modes of sight and visuality.
A lively virtual artist talk and discussion takes place during Emerson Week celebrations on Tuesday, May 4, from 5-6:15 p.m., which is open to the public.
